As part of the upgrade of the municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Deyvillers, Veolia selected the 11 kW AQUAEROMIX directional aerator-mixer from SFA enviro to replace an existing brush aerator system.
This first installation marks a move towards a more efficient, easy-to-install, and low-maintenance aeration technology.
A self-aspirating directional aerator-mixer, with or without blower support
The AQUAEROMIX is a floating, self-aspirating, directional aerator-mixer, designed to maximize oxygen transfer while generating a powerful, directed hydraulic flow—particularly well-suited for carousel-type basins.
For this project, SFA enviro recommended a version equipped with a blower, to boost oxygen transfer.
Field-Proven Results Confirmed by Veolia
Just a few weeks after commissioning, Veolia teams confirmed the following benefits observed on site:
- ✅ Effective oxygenation, fully meeting the basin’s process requirements
- ✅ Strong mixing and directional flow
- ✅ Very low noise level, even with the blower in operation
- ✅ Quick installation, with no modifications to the existing civil works
- ✅ Simplified maintenance, thanks to a surface-mounted direct-drive motor, with no gear reducer
Available in power ratings from 5.5 to 22 kW, with or without a blower, the AQUAEROMIX is available for sale or rental, for both permanent and temporary installations.
It provides a reliable, easy-to-install alternative to traditional brush aerators, and is also used for aerating and creating circulation in lagoon systems.
